Ohk people. I'm gonna give a retail shop a go again. Doing it my first time I just had put up what I liked not really thinking beyond that. Going through pinterest, I 'm finding my design aesthetic , Who is my customer and what would they wear. I've asked myself this question before but never had a answer. Well I had a somewhat of a answer. With me leaving my internship (just a month in ) and choosing to do my own thing. Now I have the time to design and put work into my business this time around is gonna be better. Look out for LYFE clothing launching late October

INTERVIEW x SEAN TAILOR

While attending Art Institute with this guy I didn't like him. No seriously I didn't. The talent he had with Adobe Illustrator pissed me off. I was like; "why is he even in this school; he clearly has it down packed".
After I mentioned it to him after a couple months he humorously laughed; taking it as a joke while I had a serious blank look on my face.
I had liked how his designs gave me street edge vibe and how unconventional it is. You just never know what he going to design next.
I said to him; "design a t-shirt design for LYFE and what it means to you." This guy.. as usual killed it. The shirt will be for sale on a later date and.... I just might show you the design.
Now let's jump into this interview with Sean.

LYFE: What is your creative venture you do?

I am a Graphic Designer. specializing in logo design & typography.

LYFE: When did you start designing?

I began creating my first couple of pieces around the age of 13 & slowly continued teaching myself new techniques

LYFE: Did you go to school for design? /was it worth it?

Well yes & no. the first school I attended was Atlanta Technical College in of course Atlanta ga, lol. I studied visual communications. Then sometime after that I began attending the Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur. There, I would say I discovered exactly what type of designer I was.

LYFE: Do you think for designers its important to go to school?

SEAN: Honestly I feel like school isn't for everyone. And unfortunately society says that we need diplomas. But truthfully an artists skill is shown

LYFE: What is your design style and how did it come to be?

SEAN: I would describe it as like a sophisticated urban swank, in a sense. lol

LYFE: Your a freelance graphic designer; is it difficult to get work?

SEAN: Actually sometimes it is. especially when you're pushing your work on your own. but overall it's all on your determination and drive to get work. but to be real, one thing I hate. (& I think most can agree). is it's unbelievable what people expect to get, & what they expect to pay for it. lol it's crazy.

LYFE: Whats your process when your about to create a logo?

SEAN: My process though I know it's the taught way of doing things is just hoping on the board (Adobe Illustrator) and just feel it. feel whatever project I'm working on in a sense.

From Kindergarten I wanted my skin bleached to be seen as beautiful. From an infant ezcema had developed on my skin. So bad it seemed as if I didnt have eye brows.
After itching my skin off I had discolaration and light and dark pigmentation on my legs and arms. It took me moving to the south to the ezcema to leave but the discoloration stayed.

Mishka has released their 2013 Spring/Summer Collection. The clothes are seriously dope. I always loved printed collared shirts like this.It can give a look a tailored but chill vibe to an outfit.
Kudos to Jason Shaltz for photography and awesome art direction with the smoke in the background.
When I read about the lookbook on HYPEBEAST I was surprised the gentleman was an albino model named Shaun Ross; which is the first African American albino model.After doing some research this guy is only 20 and has accomplished so much such as being in Vogue Italia, Tyra Show and now adding Hypebeast to the list. That's what's up.

Scrolling through my email the other day;I got one of those newsletters from Free People. It was like hey we decided to experiment and did a short film so check it out... (no that's not what it exactly said) and me being the person I am..I just love those sort of videos.
The name of the short film is called "Roshambo" at first I couldn't pronounce it and did some research and found out it's a name for the game rock,paper,scissors. Ohhhh... as I was saying it's a neat story of guy meets girl and their decisions is based on this game. The video is airy, fun and brings a smile to your face with city scenes and the effortless love these two have for each other. The clothes are from their February catalog. Take a look.

3 Shades Of Nicole:Eclectic Pop

Do you remember Nicole? We paired up to do this segment called 3 Shades of Nicole. It's where we would shoot 3 looks and it would show 3 different sides of her. Each week I'll post a side of her.Also Q&A's to get to know her more. Cool right? When I met up with her at Little 5 Points I loved her outfit from the start and can tell it was going to be a fun experience. We found an awesome graffiti wall that captured us. From the first shot I loved the shoot already. I was quite skeptical of it being shot at night but it turned out great;so great I wouldn't mind doing my shoots at night. LYFE:What inspires your style?
NICOLE:My style is influenced by my background (from New York, Guyanese mother and Nigerian father). I've went through different phases of inspiration for my style and now it's more refined, effortless and easily adaptive. People always assume I am from California or New York.
LYFE:If you had to sum up the style of this outfit what would it be?
NICOLE:Summing up my outfit I would describe it as Eclectic Pop! Its a bit funky with the hi-low see through top that I customized.

Then I paired with one of my favorite floral skirts which I layered with a tutu type skirt underneath. You can't forget

the thigh highs, cute straw hat, killer yellow shoes and Nik_Gold Accessories! It's different fun, fashion forward and a little Japanese Anime.

LYFE:Where do you find your inspiration for your style?

NICOLE:I find inspiration for my style everywhere. From walking through the city streets, on the internet browsing or just something out

that catches my eye including patterns, art, colors and sometimes just a vibe or aura I receive.

LYFE:What are must haves in Nicole's closet?
Some must haves in my closest are heels, (I have over 50 pair and growing) I have to have the best fitting pair of jeans (I may not wear jeans a lot but having a great pair is essential) Also a stylish blazer or jacket like my moto crop jacket I bought from Karmaloop a couple of years ago and it's still rocking.

There is something about polished clothes I absolutely love. The patterns worn to the loafers and the cardigans. Timeless pieces like those are delightful. They can spice up any outfit and make it look chic and classy. I can't get enough of button ups. I'm having a fashion orgasm just thinking about it. Before I get out of control let me tell you about this blog I found. It's called Classy Girls Wear Pearls; why yes they do. Anyway I saw a picture of a well dressed woman on pinterest and I said hey let me click on the link and it led to me to a woman by the name of Sarah who resides in New England with polished style; loved it instantly and had to pin some photos on to my fashion board. That's how I felt about Edge clothing store.I never seen it before but I loved how they made the stores name out of paper ; it looks like flattened origami's. How creative! I'm excited for christmas like a little child well my name does mean "child of christmas" what can I say?

one: I saw the calender at designlovefest and loved it instantly,it will give my room a little more creative spunk.

two: I'm offically hooked on Ear pollutions since someone introduced me to them..talk about super bass.

three: I'm more of a laid back person when it comes to shoes, so theses have that boyfriend feel to it and can be worn with multiple things, and I definately need a break from black shoes.

four: At target this ring caught my eye and the saying is so true and would give me a daily inspiration for the day and remind me never to give up on my dreams :)

five: I've been wanting this book for a while but never got around to buying, but when I saw a post on it on the fashion harvest I was inspired so now the book should be shipped tomorrow yay!
