Interview/ D.Love

Hey LYFE readers, I'm bringing to you another interview. This time it's one on D.love of IClub. Remember the interview with Young Nova? Yea well they are in the same brand together and it's time you know who he is.  Take a look at the interview.D.love is apart of a group called Fif Floor and is soon to release an album.   LYFE:How did you come up with the name D.Love?

 D.LOVE: Very simple, my first initial and my last name.  When I began rapping I tried to come up with something catchy that fit my personality.  After a while I realized nothing is cooler or fits me more than my birth given name. 

LYFE: You're apart of a group called "International Club" along with Young Nova; How did this brand come about?

 D.LOVE:We basically wanted to merge the efforts of everyone in our movement.  The Fif Floor was a group and Young Nova was a solo artist. Cav came up with the name International Club and the rest is history.

LYFE:In IClub there's a group called "Fif Floor" which you are apart of. What sound does the group have?

Our sound is a “futuristic vintage.”  We take the elements that hip-hop was built on and make it more modern.  Our tracks are smooth and soulful with a dab of fun.

LYFE:Who are the members and style taste?

 D.LOVE:I’m D.Love My style is simple and soulful.  I like basic beats with a lot energy.  Cav style is a little more complex he uses a lot of breakdown.  Doe is like a mix between the two but a little more up tempo.  Our taste is urban and classy in one.

LYFE:What inspires the group to press on?

 D.LOVE:Our love for music fashion and art.  Also more importantly we all have similar goals in life coming from low-income backgrounds.

LYFE:What are the groups influences?

 D.LOVE: MUSIC AND FASHION.  Early 90s hip-hop for sure but we love it all pop, rap, r&b everything.

LYFE:Other than music what does IClub do?

 D.LOVE:We do it all.  We organize events for the community.  Last year we hosted Christmas and Thanksgiving events where we raised food and toys for the unfortunate.  We have a blog, Cav designs graphics, edits videos, make beats, we all design clothing and we all are heavily into sports.

LYFE:Do you have any upcoming projects?

 D.LOVE:FO’ SHO LOL. Yes we are working on an album and it is going to be BIG.  It is titled White Gold:  The Endless Summer.  We just finished up the video for one of the feature track Alone at Ruth Chris.  So

 D.LOVE:Go mainstream with the music and fashion and to have a positive influence on the youth.
